Today was the first day of clinic. My goal for the day was to get familiar with where everything was. I also wanted to learn how to set up everything and the procedures for protective equipment. I got all of my instruments put away. It feels good to be more organized now. We also did a scavenger hunt. This helped me learn where everything was. I feel like I pretty much figured out how to operate the equipment and where it all was. We were also taught how to protect ourselves by using hand washing techniques and sterilizing our areas. I learned that it is important to put your mask and eye wear on before we glove. Before we came to clinic, I felt kind of stressed because I didn't know what to expect or if I would be lost. After coming to clinic today, I feel like I have a general idea of what to expect and I feel a lot more on top of what we're supposed to do.
