Goal: Today, I wanted to learn how to tell what class a patient is. I also wanted to see how many appt.'s we need for certain patients.
Today: We discussed about the different types of classes and the amount of appt.'s needed. We also paired up with a different lab partner and practiced our instrumentation. Jammey was my partner and she did awesome.
Next time: I want to learn the correct way to polish teeth. I've polished before as an assistant but I want to see if I'm doing it correctly.

Goal: I hope to redo my pe from last time. I also hope to learn the how to use our universal instruments on the posterior teeth.
Today: We practiced with our universals on our typodonts and then on each other. I was everywhere on the typodont but felt better once I started on Tiff.
Next time: I hope to feel better about my scaling skills.

Goal: To learn to use the intra oral camera.
Today: We practiced on each other. We preformed tasks that we've already learned. We also tried to pass off our pe for today. I didn't pass it so I need to redo it. I'm so bumbed. That means that I can't not fail anymore pe's to get an A.
Next time: Redo my pe for recording findings and pass off my pe for instrument design.

Goal: To learn how to scale the teeth better.
Today: We did everything we've learned from start to finish. It was good because I havn't done an intra or extraoral exam for forever. I was glad we did this today because it helped me learn what I need to do as far as order and charting goes.
Next time: We're supposed to learn to use the camera. I have no clue how to do it. So it'll be good to learn it.

Goal: I wanted to learn to use a scaler today.
Today: We practiced on dexter first. We also watched a movie on instrumentation. Then Tiffany and I practiced scaling on each other. I felt bad for Tif because I had calculus on the lingual of mandibular anteriors. She had to work really hard at it. I got lucky because she didn't have hardly anything on her anteriors.
Nest time: I hope to learn how to scale the posterior teeth.

Goal: To pass off my PE for probing. I'm starting to feel better about probing. I've figured out how to probe the distal of the last molars.
Today: We learned about our instruments. We also did another PFI and I practiced probing and passed off my PE.
Next time: Learn to use my instruments.

Goal: To learn to do a PFI.
Today: We learned how to use the disclosing agent. We then calculated our PFIs. We practiced probing. I feel a little better about probing the distal of the second molars.
Next time: Hopefully we will work a little more with probing.

Goal: My goal for today was to learn to chart better. I also wanted to practice my exploring.
Today: I found all of Cassandra's fillings and sealants. She also had two veneers. Those were a lot harder to see. I then was able to pass of my explorer PE. Explorering is harder than you would think. It is pretty tuff to go subgingivally.
Next time: I hope to pass of my probing PE.

Goal: My goal today was to learn to record my findings from probing.
Today: We learned how to classify periodontitis and gingivitis. We then practiced probing on each other and documented our findings on the laminated sheets. I Passed off my intraoral PE and the grasp PE. I am so glad to get that out of the way.
Next time: I hope to become more proficient in probing.
