Today: I misclassified a 1b. They should of been a 2. I thought because there was no bone loss just lamina dura, that it wouldn't be a 2. So I guess I need to be more careful when I classify my patients.
Next time: I hope to classify my patient correctly and diagnose them correctly also.

Goal: To learn how to do a propholaxsis on someone with braces.
Today: My patient had braces today. So I was able to get some good practice probing and scaling with braces.
Next time: I need to find a patient because mine came on the wrong day.

Goal: To be able to run through everything more smoothly.
Today: I cleaned my aunt Shana's teeth. Everything went pretty smoothly except for xrays. I had to take 3 retakes.

Goal: To finish a 1b in one day and do a good, thorough job.
Today: The dentist that I work for came in. It was so nice of her to come on her day off. I took four bws, did an OD, and scaled all four quads. I was so glad that I finished. I also counted her for my exam.
Next time: My aunt Shana is coming in. I hope to finish her also.

Goal: To finish scaling the lower quadrants of my mom's teeth.
Today: I finished my mom and had time to spare. So I passed off my explorer pe and my selective polishing pe.
Next time: My dentist that I work for is coming in and I'm going to clean her teeth. I hope I can do a good job. It's so nice of her to come up here on her day off.

Goal: To learn how to use my Gracy's.
Today: We first practiced on dexter and the we practiced area specifics on each other. I felt like we really don't know how to use them. I think that it will take someone with deep pockets before we will really learn how to use them.
Next time: We will do a real patient. I am going to finish my mom's appointment.
