Goal: To practice for my real patient on Wednsday.
Today: Russ was so good to let my practice the whole appointment on him. It was good to practice doing scale checks. I felt like I learned where the calculus was and how to find it better.
Next time: It will be my real patient day. My mom is coming in. I hope that everything will go well.

Goal: To be a good patient for Russell.
Today: Russell did the full treatment on me. I also let Meredith pass off her pe's on me while I was a patient.
Next time: I hope to finish everything since it will be my turn to be the operator.

Goal: To learn what I sould do if an emergency where to happen.
Today: We went over the emergency kits and what we should do if an emergency where to happen. I then passed off my PE for sealants.
Next time: I plan on being a patient for Russ to practice for our real patients.

Goal: To pass off my air poder polish PE.
Today: We did sealants. It was a good review of my sealant skills. I started with my air powder polish and passed off that PE. I then did a sealant on Tiff.
Next time: To pass off my sealant PE.

Goal: To learn how to use the air powder polish.
Today: We saw a demo of the air powder polish and then we tried it on a penny. I put the letter B on my penny for my name. We then practiced on each other. I'm not going to lie. I was a little bit scared to try it but now I feel better about it.
Next time: I'm excited to do sealants because I like doing them.

Goal: To learn how to sharpen my instruments.
Today: I watched the demo of how to sharpen my instruments. Then we tried to sharpen our own. I feel pretty good about it. As long as I have the right angles, it's pretty easy. I also passed off my flouride PE. Then Chanci got the rest of my calculus off my lower anteriors. It feels so good now.
Next time: I want to learn how to use the air powder polisher.

Goal: To see if I apply fluoride the correct way.
Today: We were shown how to apply fluoride. Then we practiced on each other applying topical flouride. We then practiced previously learned skills.
Next time: I hope to learn how to sharpen my instruments.

Goal: To make sure I'm using my prophy angle right.
Today: We practiced polishing the teeth. I feel like I didn't have to learn to much about polishing. So today felt like a pretty easy day.
Next time: I hope to pass off my polishing PE.
